Thought the ol' wisdom teeth pull killed me eh? Hhahahahaaaa noooooo... I'm still kickin'.
Look! I anthropomorphized my Wandering Albatross character! What an atrocity! But remember that albatross I was drawin' all those months ago? Yeah he's back, and he's got a spiffy new shirt for the office!

Hey remember this old Monty Python skit?

| Dumb I Sound |
[Sep. 10th, 2009|09:41 pm] |
You know what a crystal moment for me is? Finding that certain song you've been searching for after weeks, or months beat journeying. You know... 'cause maybe you'll hear a song played on the radio, or in a mix, and you won't know what the song is or how to acquire it. When you finally get that song pumpin' through your headphones it's just straight up magic. Seriously, it's a beautiful fillin' (as Slim Thug would say).
I heard this song during Diplo's Essential Mix on da BBC Radio 1 and practically plotzed. But some dip got the tracklist all wrong and I spent a lot of time searching for a song that wasn't even what I was lookin' for! But anywhey, I found it. I even did up a mix with this jam in it and recorded it in video form. But you'll have to befriend me on Facebook for that mess. Hahahahahahaaaa...
Seriously, though, I ain't ready to put my stuff on YouTube yet. My video mixes and, subsequently, my ego would get torn to ribbons if I were to start posting on YouTube now.
While we're at it, here's a neat little piece of animation I completely forgot about.
The song ain't too shabby either.
...
I'm sorry guys... I'll stop posting YouTube vids to compensate for my obvious lack of art projects.
P.S. Who's got two thumbs and is getting his wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow? This guyyy. |

This is already springing up all over the place, but I figured I'd post it here before it goes any kind of stale up in these Intercats.
Please! Check out this video!
I don't really have the 411 behind it... but damn is it cool. In the words of Kanye West, "THIS IS SO GOOD IT MADE MY HEART SINK... LIKE A MIX OF THE FEELING IN YOUR STOMACH WHEN YOU'RE ON A ROLLER COASTER AND WHEN YOU WOULD SEE YOUR HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH AT LUCH TIME... THAT'S HOW THIS MAKES ME FFEL". I would have to agree. Do you people see why I'm so fixed on turntablism now??? |

[Aug. 5th, 2009|10:19 pm] |

This didn't happen to me today... I wasn't making these comics when it happened. I was originally going to do an autobicom about buying chocolate with my newspaper today, but I realized that it was more of a "had to be there" kind of deal. This seemed much more worth it when I was thinking about it today.
Here's another YouTube video, because sometimes a single comic just can't cut it.
Another brilliant use of a Madlib beat. Straight murda. |

[Aug. 3rd, 2009|11:08 pm] |
Here, have a drawing. Somewhat unfinished... but I wanted to post something before letting another day slip past without a post. Today is BC Day too I believe... might as well mark that.

I enjoy drawing the human face. Particularly the more deshriveled human face. I don't know why... I guess a more weathered face just has those many intricacies to take into account. I don't know where the robot suit came from...
Also, I have found my new favorite YouTube video.
One of my favorite Madlib beats for shurrrrr! |

Haven't posted in a bit, and I feel like I need to give a little sum'n sum'n.
Here's a video of dance crew I'm apart of, Elktrik, performing at the Danceology prelims. It was held at Metrotown mall, and with the huge crowd it drew, things got hella hype. The stage was kind of baloney though...
(It's not my video, just so you know.)
We placed in the top 10, which means we're moving on to the Danceology finals. Wheeeeee!!!
I also forgot to mention that the Artist Apprenticeship Program installation showing was on Friday. My bad...
It turned out to be a great show though. I'm happy with how my project turned out, and we drew a pretty good crowd. We even got a little writeup in our local paper. I'll be back with pics too, I promise. |

| Weapon of Choice |
[Apr. 23rd, 2009|08:35 pm] |
I uploaded another video on YouTube. One of my artistic pursuits IS movie making, jeese guys...
This one's a short film my friend and I made during term 2 of grade 11. It was a spontaneous idea and we kind of just ran with it. (Please don't take it too seriously, haha.)
What have I been listening to lately, you ask? I've been all about the beat tapes over the past couple weeks, especially those by Madlib, DJ Babu, Ayatollah and Oh No. I've also been going through Prefuse 73's new album, Everything She Touches Turns Ampexian. It's all fresh stuff, check up on it. |

Seems like I have nothing but videos to dish off to you guys... Dun worry I'll have doodles and whatnot to share in a bit. I just made it out of a really rough patch in school, dance, and life in general. But the sun's finally out now for spring and thing's are lookin' up!
This is another video from our school's talent show that I just recently put up on YouTube. It's the other performance I was in on - a live performance of the SNL Digital Short/song by The Lonely Island. That's right, Lazy Sunday. It's hard to see in the video, but my friend is actually holding props up to coincide with the lyrics in the rap.
Check it out check it out check it out check it out. |

| Wack is Wack |
[Mar. 22nd, 2009|04:51 pm] |
I left you you all hanging this Spring Break didn't I? My bad. I guess I was busy with some form of sickness during the first two days of the period, and later I did become involved with work experience, dance and some parties. There's no excuse though, really.
Hey, remember the talent show I was tellin' y'all about awhile back? Well I got around to posting one of the videos from said event on YouTube. It's the traditional "Grade 12 Performance" that I was in on. Every year at the school talent show a group of grade 12's put on a mock-style dance performance to popular tunes.
Please to be watching?
And since I've been on a bit of a YouTube video stint lately here's something else I came upon. Check this krizzle out! Prefuse 73! Ace fuh real.
You know what I watched today? The Wackness. I enjoyed it. Just thought I'd put that out there. |

| Jenny From the 34th Street Block |
[Dec. 14th, 2008|10:45 pm] |
Hey friends. I didn't really get time over the weekend to make something post-worthy. I was occupied with a hair cut, a doctor's appointment, a movie night, the first snowfall (!!!!!!) and traditional Christmas tree cutting.
I don't want to leave you with nothing though, so here's a video of a holiday MASHUP I've been playing to get in the mood. It's called "High Tides and Blocked Peace Pipes" by Go Home Productions. I know it can be considered a "disgracing of the classics", but hell, why does it have to be considered so seriously? It's a MASHUP, it's for fun, it was made to get you in a groovy holiday mood. Lighten up.
Plus, J. Lo looks hella fine in the Jenny From the Block music video. Let's be real. |

| Walk It Out |
[Jul. 27th, 2008|12:56 pm] |
When I was walking home from work on Thursday I pumped this jam by Mr. Oizo I recently purchased. It was just such a bona fide bad ass song to walk to and, needless to say, I had a rush of inspiration.
So I made my very first YouTube video on my lazy Friday night while my turd friends saw Step Brothers without me. It's a bit of a tribute to those epic walking shots seen in movies, music videos, etc. I would like to have included more footage and fixed some of the glitches in the movie but iMovie was not made for making YouTube videos, what can I say.
Anyways, enjoy.
I think I had something else I was going to mention in this post but I forgot it... So whatever. |
